CTOnews.com, November 8, according to the latest quarterly tracking report of IDC, the Chinese tablet market shipped about 7.29 million tablets in the third quarter of 2022, down about 4.5% from a year earlier, of which the consumer market grew 6.3% year-on-year and the commercial market fell 56.7%.

IDC believes that the market volatility of China's tablet computer market increased in the third quarter of 2022 due to repeated macroeconomic and epidemic conditions as well as international exchange rates. However, domestic brands represented by Huawei, Glory, Lenovo and Xiaomi have launched new products one after another in the third quarter and some brands have stepped up their publicity efforts, coupled with the stable supply of iPad products has driven the steady growth of the consumer market, but the commercial market still continues to decline. The total brand share of the top five shipments in China's tablet computer market in the third quarter of 2022 was about 86.4%.

The average unit price of China's tablet market rose 6.7% month-on-month in the third quarter. The market capacity of products less than 1000 yuan and higher than 4000 yuan decreased, while the market capacity of the intermediate price range of 1000-4000 yuan increased year-on-year.
