Over the past decade, the cumulative power generation of the power plant has exceeded 300 billion kilowatt hours, which is equivalent to reducing the consumption of standard coal by about 90 million tons, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 250 million tons, and carrying more than 5.2 million tons of navigable cargo.

Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station is the key project of the western development of the country and the backbone power point of "power transmission from west to east". It is the only power station in the main stream of the Jinsha River with multi-functions such as power generation, flood control, dam navigation, super-large farmland irrigation, sand retaining and reverse regulation of Xiluodu Hydropower Station. CTOnews.com learned that eight hydroelectric generating units with a total installed capacity of 6.4 million kilowatts were installed at Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station, with a designed average annual generating capacity of 30.747 billion kilowatt hours.

Over the past ten years since it was put into operation and power generation, Xiangjiaba Power Plant has maintained the leading level of key indicators for the operation of equipment and facilities, such as the success rate of start-up and shutdown of power generation equipment, equivalent availability coefficient, annual utilization hours, and so on. For 10 consecutive years, it has achieved "zero personal injury accident and zero equipment quality accident" in production for the whole year, and the production safety has exceeded 3900 days, setting a new world record for production safety of 800,000 kilowatt hydrogenerator sets.
