Mengtian Experimental Module is the third module of China Space Station and also the second scientific experiment module. It consists of working module, payload module, cargo airlock module and resource module. Its take-off weight is about 23 tons. It is mainly used to carry out space science and application experiments and participate in the management of space station assembly. The cargo airlock module can support the automatic entry and exit of cargo and provide support for scientific experiments inside and outside the cabin.

Subsequently, Shenzhou 14 astronauts will receive the visit of Tianzhou-5 cargo spacecraft and Shenzhou-15 manned spacecraft successively in the space station. At that time, Shenzhou 14 and Shenzhou-15 will complete the first on-orbit rotation of astronauts in Chinese space history.
