CTOnews.com November 6 news, some iPhone users recently reported that after updating to iOS 16, Face ID could not work immediately and there was a problem. It is not clear how many people have been affected by Face ID errors, or whether only specific models of iPhone have been affected.

In related posts, more and more users reported that iPhone's Face ID stopped working after updating to iOS 16. The poster shared an error message saying "Face ID is not available, please try to set Face ID later".

The post was posted on the iPhone X sub-forum, although some users said they had encountered a Face ID problem on their iPhone 13 Pro Max. Others said they took the iPhone to Apple's retail store, which store technicians called a hardware error.

On October 27th, a customer wrote on the Apple Community Forum that after updating to iOS 16.1, he found that Face ID was no longer working. Restarting and resetting Face ID doesn't seem to be working.

In early October, it was reported that the RC candidate version of iOS 15.7.1 (not the official version) had damaged the Face ID of some users.

CTOnews.com learned that if the Face ID doesn't work on the iPhone or iPad Pro, Apple provides a support page describing the steps to be taken, including checking for updates or Face ID settings, and making sure there's nothing covering the front camera.

However, this is a general support page and does not directly resolve the specific Face ID errors mentioned above. Apple did not release any supporting documents on the issue, nor did it respond or comment.
