CTOnews.com, November 6, the Fifth China International Import Expo (Expo) will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. Amazon announced at the Expo that Amazon's first overseas-purchased bonded warehouse will be located in Ningbo in 2023, according to the Ningbo cross-border e-commerce comprehensive experimental zone.

CTOnews.com understands that the Ningbo front bonded warehouse will first serve Amazon sites in the UK and Germany, and will be expanded to cover Amazon sites in the United States, Britain, Japan and Germany in the future.

According to reports, the pre-bonded warehouse logistics compared with overseas direct mail will save an average of about 4 to 5 days. At the same time, Amazon's overseas purchases will introduce more new overseas categories such as pet food through the front bonded warehouse.

Amazon reported second-quarter net sales of $121.234 billion (about 838.939 billion yuan), up 7% from a year earlier, and a net loss of $2.028 billion (about 14.034 billion yuan).
