CTOnews.com, November 6, according to the release of Beijing Railway, the construction of the new Beijing-Tianjin Binhai New area intercity railway (hereinafter referred to as the Beijing-Binhai intercity railway) has officially started today, and the construction of the Beichen (excluding) to Binhai new section (hereinafter referred to as the southern section project) has officially started, contributing railway strength to the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

CTOnews.com learned that the Jingbin intercity railway is an important part of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei rail transit network. The line starts from the Beijing-Tangshan intercity railway Baodi station in the north, and connects to the Tianjin-Qinhuangdao high-speed railway Binhai West Station through Tianjin Baodi District, Wuqing District, Beichen District, Dongli District and Binhai New area. The northern section of the project (from Baodi to Beichen) has entered the trial stage and is scheduled to open for operation this year; the southern section of the project has a total length of 40.41 km, a design speed of 250 km per hour, and a construction period of 4 years.

The southern section of the Jingbin inter-city railway project consists of two stations: Tianjin Airport Station and Binhai West Station, of which Binhai West Station is a reconstruction and expansion station and Tianjin Airport Station is a new station. after completion, it will form a regional large-scale comprehensive transportation hub with a number of planned subway lines and three terminals of Tianjin Airport, which can effectively promote air-rail intermodal transport and integrated transfer of various modes of transportation.

The Jingbin inter-city railway connects the Beijing-Tangshan inter-city railway and the planned Jincheng inter-city railway in the north, the planned Tianjin west link line in the west, the Tianjin-Shanghai high-speed railway in the south and the Bohai inter-city railway in the south, which is the auxiliary channel of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway. After the completion of the project, it will further improve the structure of the railway network in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, facilitate the travel of people along the line, promote economic and social development along the line, and better serve the implementation of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, which is of great significance.
