According to reports, the trend of new energy vehicles in the world is strong in 2022, with sales of 9.98 million generalized new energy vehicles from January to September in 2022, of which hybrid power reached 2.76 million, accounting for 28%. The number of new energy passenger vehicles in the world reached 6.96 million from January to September 2022, an increase of 69 percent over the same period last year. September sales of 1.05 million vehicles, an increase of 63 percent over the same period last year.

Cui Dongshu pointed out that less than 4% of the world's new energy vehicles are commercial vehicles, with new energy passenger vehicles as the main body. From January to September 2022, China's new energy passenger vehicles accounted for 62% of the world's new energy outstanding performance, which is mainly due to China's strong demand for new energy, while Europe's traditional cars and new energy vehicles production and sales are low, so China's development is very strong.

Wholesale sales of new energy passenger cars reached 675000 in September, up 94.9 per cent from a year earlier and 6.2 per cent month-on-month, according to the Federation of passengers. From January to September, 4.341 million new energy passenger vehicles were wholesale, an increase of 115.4% over the same period last year. Retail sales of new energy passenger cars reached 611000 in September, an increase of 82.9% over the same period last year, and an increase of 14.7% from January to September. From January to September, there were 3.877 million domestic retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles, an increase of 113.2% over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that the domestic retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles in September was 31.8%, up 11 percentage points from 21.1% in September 2021. In September, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles in independent brands was 55.2%; that of luxury cars was 29.7%; and that of new energy vehicles in mainstream joint venture brands was only 4.2%.

According to data from the China Automobile Association, the production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 75. 5% respectively in September. 50,000 and 708000 vehicles, an increase of 1.1 times and 93.9% respectively over the same period last year, with a market share of 27.1%. From January to September, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 471.7 million and 4.567 million respectively, an increase of 1.2 times and 1.1 times respectively over the same period last year, with a market share of 23.5%.
