As shown in the figure above, the RDNA3 architecture Navi31 GPU uses a Chiplet design, including the middle 5nm graphics core (GCD) and the surrounding 6 6nm process memory cache cores (MCD).

In terms of cache, Navi31 L0 cache is 3MB, adding 240% to 3MB, 300% to 6MB, and 50% to 96MB, which is less 32MB than the previous generation Navi 21.

The most noteworthy point is that it is mentioned in the figure that the frequency of RNDA3 GPU can exceed that of 3GHz, ranking first in the industry. However, the Boost frequency of the AMD RX 7900 XTX public edition is only 2.5GHz. It has been reported that AMD seems to be in pursuit of a balance between performance and power consumption, and dual 8pin power is used in public graphics cards, which limits the power of graphics cards. The non-public version will use better heat dissipation and power supply to achieve the frequency of 3GHz and unlock more performance.

The AMD Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards are expected to be available on the AMD.com website from December 13, 2022, and will be available from mid-December by leading partners, including ASRock, Asustek, gigabyte, MSI, Shake, Sapphire, Armor, Insight and Yintong. The e-commerce suggested retail price of AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX is 7999 yuan, while the e-commerce suggested retail price of AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT is 7399 yuan.

CTOnews.com learned that the RX 7900 XTX has a 96CU6144 stream processor, a GPU frequency of 1900-2500MHz, and a graphics card power consumption of 355W, which is much lower than the 450W of RTX 4090. The RX 7900 XTX plate is 287mm,2.5 thick, much smaller than Nvidia's flagship model.
