AMD seems to be in pursuit of a balance between performance and power consumption. Dual 8pin power is used in the public graphics card, which limits the power of the video card.

Currently, only Asustek has released a RX 7900 TUF graphics card with a heat dissipation design of nearly 4 slots and three 8pin power, which is expected to have more performance than the public version.

CTOnews.com learned that the RX 7900 XTX has a 96CU6144 stream processor, a GPU frequency of 1900-2500MHz, and a graphics card power consumption of 355W, which is much lower than the 450W of RTX 4090. The RX 7900 XTX plate is 287mm,2.5 thick, much smaller than Nvidia's flagship model. By contrast, Asustek's RX 7900 TUF heat dissipation specification is much better than the public version, and is expected to overclock at the factory.

The AMD Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards are expected to be available on the AMD.com website from December 13, 2022, and will be available from mid-December by leading partners, including ASRock, Asustek, gigabyte, MSI, Shake, Sapphire, Armor, Insight and Yintong. The e-commerce suggested retail price of AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX is 7999 yuan, while the e-commerce suggested retail price of AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT is 7399 yuan.
