CTOnews.com, Nov. 4, Samsung usually releases a new generation of Galaxy S-series flagship phones in the first quarter of each year (mostly at the end of February). This year, however, Samsung released the Galaxy S22 series a few weeks earlier, and may launch the Galaxy S23 series at the same time next year.

Samsung Galaxy S23 will be released at the Galaxy unpack 2023 event in San Francisco, California in the first week of February, three to four weeks earlier than usual, according to the Chaoji Daily.

Foreign media pointed out that the new machine will go on sale on February 17, 2023. Samsung will use Exynos 2300 processors in some markets for the Galaxy S23 series, but Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors will be available in most markets around the world, the report said.

Samsung's profits in its memory chip business have fallen sharply due to the poor performance of the global smartphone market, and the South Korean company is trying to launch the Galaxy S23 in advance to boost its performance.

CTOnews.com has reported that Samsung said in an earnings call in the third quarter of 2022 that it was working to increase its share of high-end phones to improve profitability.

Market research firm Strategy Analytics predicts that smartphone shipments this year will be 910% lower than last year, due to the economic downturn, rising prices and epidemics. Consumers' pockets are getting thinner and thinner, and Samsung has ceded the top spot to mid-and low-end brands in online markets in some countries.
