CTOnews.com, Nov. 4 (Xinhua)-- although NASA stressed in a media conference call on the 3rd local time that the much-anticipated Artemis 1 lunar mission would be challenging, they insisted they were confident about the launch on November 14.

Currently, the Artemis 1 project assembly, made up of large Space launch system (SLS) rockets and Orion spacecraft, is once again being pushed from the NASA aircraft Assembly Building (VAB) at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida to launch Pad 39B.

CTOnews.com learned that the SLS assembly had been pushed to the launch pad three times before, one pre-launch wet drill (fueling) in March and June, and two failed launch attempts in mid-August, followed by the rocket being pushed back to VAB on September 27 to withstand Hurricane Ian, where repairs and pre-flight checks have been carried out.

In today's media briefing, NASA stressed that they are already preparing for a new mission schedule that aims for a launch attempt at 12:07 EDT on November 14.

"if we don't have confidence, we won't launch. If we don't have confidence, we won't start the countdown when we do so. We are confident to move on," said Jim Fry, deputy director of the Discovery Systems Development Mission Board at NASA headquarters.

Although he is full of words, as to whether he will give up the launch again in the future, please wait and see.
