Since Tesla CEO Elon Musk took the helm of social media Twitter, the monthly "rest days" enjoyed by the company's employees have become a thing of the past, Nov. 4.

From the year before last, Twitter began to implement a company-wide "rest day" policy, which allows employees to enjoy one paid day off every month in addition to their normal paid leave. The purpose of this policy is to help employees feel less burnout.

But Mr Musk has scrapped Twitter's "rest day" system this week, according to people familiar with the matter. After completing his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter last week, Musk quickly began to reform the company's workplace culture.

Musk interfered with Twitter's "rest day" once before he became Twitter's owner and CEO. Musk reportedly refused an invitation to join Twitter's board in April, just before a rest day arranged by Twitter. As a result, this development made employees feel stressed rather than relaxed during that "rest day".

The suspension of the "rest day" is clearly Musk's latest move to restructure and adjust the internal culture of Twitter.
