This standard is the core basic standard in the field of industrial Internet, standardizes the end-edge cloud architecture of industrial Internet system for the first time, effectively fills in the gap of international standards, and is of great significance for standardizing the architecture construction of cross-industry and cross-domain industrial Internet platforms in various countries and promoting the global application and promotion of China's industrial Internet platform products.

CTOnews.com learned that the standard was proposed by China, and was jointly developed by experts from Germany, France, South Korea and other countries. In the four years from the launch of the project in 2018 to the release of the standard in 2022, in the face of the challenges of global outbreaks and technical coordination, the working group overcame many difficulties and finally completed its work successfully.
