Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Hello, everyone. Welcome to Slidecent.
Meet the words like face to face, I am Lin Limeng.
After entering the workplace, I think more than 90% of workers will come into contact with PPT, write so many PPT materials, listen to so many PPT reports, you may have experienced many battles, but do you really understand what professional PPT includes?
I'm going to share with you today.
What does a professional PPT page look like?
In the field of PPT, bring up the profession.
My first reaction was not the major design studios or advertising companies, but consulting companies.
Some friends may be unfamiliar with consulting companies. In short, consulting firms are companies that use professional knowledge and experience to provide advice and guidance to enterprises.
In the consulting company, there are a lot of project proposals, reports, bidding and other work every day, so there is a great demand for PPT.
However, in the face of a large number of PPT materials, consulting firms can still produce professional PPT (you can check relevant cases on the websites of McKinsey, Bain, Boston Consulting, etc.). Do you know what knowledge is behind this?
Think about it here for a few seconds.
. . .
. . .
. . .
I think many friends have guessed part of the answer: PPT master settings (that is, font, color, layout, etc.), you can take a look at my article: how many gigabytes are saved in the PPT template, but can you really use it? (click the picture to enter the article)
Why is it part of the answer? Because the motherboard can only ensure the consistency in the general direction, but the design of the inner page is still easy to deviate, so each consulting firm has its own strict design specifications.
Let's take a typical inside page as an example
In order to avoid suspicion (that is, the so-called industry information disclosure, unknown origin, etc.), I made a page of PPT to explain it with reference to the PPT style of the consulting company:
This is a typical consulting style PPT page. It is not as cool as the PPT of the press conference type, nor as lively as the PPT of interesting topics, but it gives people a sense of professionalism.
Where does this major come from? Next, I will unravel the design knowledge behind the inside page with you one by one.
First of all, let me ask you a question: in your impression, what elements should a standard PPT page contain?
Think again for a few seconds.
. . .
. . .
. . .
I think most of my friends may not have delved into this question, so it is generally believed that a PPT page should contain: title, picture, text, etc., which is not wrong, but it is neither professional nor specific enough.
In my opinion, a professional PPT page
In general, it should contain the following nine elements (such as the following figure)
1. Title: the conciseness of the core ideas of the whole page of PPT
two。 Navigation bar: used to track the position of this page in the entire material
3. Chapter navigation: used to track the position of this page in the chapter
4. Data support: all data have their sources and are generally quoted from authoritative institutions.
5. Conclusion: describe objective facts or recommendations of conclusions
6. Chart header: describes the information and units of the chart
7. Legend: used to describe the correspondence of each data item in a chart
8. Label: mark some things you don't need to talk about, but you should pay attention to.
9. Corner marks: including footnotes, page numbers and sources of information
As for the company's logo, you can add it or not.
It can be seen that each element has its own specific functions (for example, the title is the conciseness of the core idea, the footnote is the source of the data, and the navigation describes the position of the page in the material) and location (such as the title is at the top, the footnote is at the bottom, the navigation bar is in the upper right corner, etc.), so as to facilitate the audience to capture key information at the first time.
In addition to the standardization of elements, the design itself also has a unified standard, taking text elements as an example:
The standard inner page can be roughly divided into title bar, text editing area and corner label according to the area.
Title block: font size general 24, 26, 28, should not be too large or too small, the text color is dark gray or black, the upper and lower left and right margins are zero, and the text box is set to not automatically resize the text box (ensure that the position of the text box in the text input process does not jump)
Text: font size general 20, 18, 16, 14 and other even numbers, text color using theme color or black, upper and lower left and right margins and text box settings according to the situation
Corner mark: the font size is general No. 10 and 12, the text color is light gray, you only need to see it clearly in the reading scene (here is the necessary but unneeded highlighted part), the upper and lower margin is zero, and the text box is set to not automatically resize the text box (to ensure that the position of the text box does not jump during text input)
At this point, does it shock your little universe that there is so much knowledge on one page of PPT?
Actually, it's not over yet. In addition to the above standards, the consulting firm even has detailed specifications for the details (such as the presentation of the title, the choice of linetype, whether the shape elements are filled in color, etc.).
How detailed is it? Here is an example of a common line element:
A common line also has many different functions in different application scenarios, and the corresponding line styles are also different (such as thickness, linetype, color, end style, etc.). There are many subtle parameter settings like this.
And each consulting company will develop its own design preferences into design specifications for internal staff to use.
When you can master the above element specifications and design specifications, you will only reach a qualified standard.
The real difficulty is how to present our ideas vividly, vividly and logically under the above restrictions, which is the meaning of our designers' existence.
The reason why the consulting firm's PPT is regarded as a classic in the industry is not only the formal beauty specialty, but also the valuable content, reasonable logic and wonderful narration behind it.
I think whether you are a professional or a designer, in the future PPT production, you should take the design code of the consulting company as the benchmark to make your work closer to the profession. after all, no matter how small the skills are, they should be taken seriously.
