CTOnews.com November 3, Samsung is preparing to release the Galaxy S23 series in early 2023, and recently it has been reported that the model will be officially released as early as January next year.

Today, Samsung Galaxy S23 + has appeared on Geekbench. Although it is an American model, it still carries the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor and 8GB running memory as Bank of China. Let's take a look at this new phone.

The model is equipped with an eight-core SoC code-named Kalama, configured with 1 + 4 + 3 or 1 "2" 2 "3 cores, super-large cores can reach the frequency of 3.36GHz, while three large cores operate at the frequency of 2.80GHz, integrated with Adreno 740 GPU.

In addition to the details of the chipset, the display will also be equipped with a 8GB RAM that runs Android 13, with a single core score of 1485 on the Geekbench 5 test and a score of 4844 on the multi-core part.

According to Qualcomm's official running score of Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1, the highest single core is 1333 and multicore is 4211, which is equivalent to a 14% increase in Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a 9% increase in multicore.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit will be held in Hawaii from November 15 to 17 this year. According to the previous rule, Qualcomm's next flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Gen2 (SM8550) will be released at this summit.

Digital blogger @ I Bing Universe previously revealed that compared with Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1, Snapdragon 8 Gen2 has improved by more than 10%: 10% improvement in CPU performance, 15% improvement in CPU energy efficiency, 20% improvement in GPU, and 50% improvement in NPU AI performance.

Compared with Snapdragon 8 + Gen1, the overall energy efficiency of the new flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Gen2 will be improved by at least 15%. As Qualcomm's next-generation flagship processor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is also expected to be manufactured by TSMC and will still be manufactured by 4nm.
