CTOnews.com, November 3, according to the official account of China Railway, the construction land for the Hefei section of the Hefei-Xinyi high-speed railway (referred to as "Hexin high-speed railway") was approved by the state a few days ago. So far, all the construction land for the Anhui section of the Hexin high-speed railway has been approved, laying the foundation for follow-up construction.

CTOnews.com learned that the Anhui section of the Hexin high-speed railway is about 207km long and has a design speed of 350km per hour, with seven stations in East Sixian, Wuhe, Mingguang West, Ding far East, Badou, Peach Blossom Dian and New Hefei West.

The railway department said that the opening of the whole railway line will greatly shorten the time and space distance between Hefei and northern Jiangsu and Shandong Peninsula, and play an important role in promoting the integrated and high-quality development of the Yangtze River economic belt and the Yangtze River Delta.

According to the China Railway Group, by the end of September 2022, the mileage of railways in operation across the country had reached 153000 km, including 41000 km of high-speed railways, covering 99% of the country's cities with a population of more than 200000.
