Beijing, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) it is reported that the world's richest man, Elon Musk (Elon Musk), has placed an order to buy what is claimed to be the world's largest private business jet: the Gulfstream G700.

Delivery in early 2023

An aerial view of the ▲ G700 is expected to be delivered to Musk in early 2023, but it could be delayed by three to six months because the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is reviewing the aircraft's software. Musk currently has four aircraft, three of which are made by Gulfstream. Musk also owns a Dassault 900B, the first private jet he has ever bought. FAA registrations show that all of Musk's aircraft are registered to Falcon Landing LLC (Falcon Landing LLC), a shell company associated with Space X.

The G700, which starts at 570 million yuan, starts at $78 million (currently about 570 million yuan) and has high operating costs. The operating cost of the G700 for 400 flight hours is about $3.5 million (currently about 25.55 million yuan), according to the aviation website Liberty jet. According to a specification form from Gulfstream in the ▲ cabin, the G700 can hold up to 19 passengers, making it the largest tailor-made private jet in the world. The G700 is an "extended version" of the G650 and aims to rival Bombardier's 7500 in size. Gulfstream says its plane is 33.48 meters long and 7.75 meters high.

A long voyage

The maximum range of the ▲ Restaurant G700 is 7500 nautical miles (13890 km), which means it can fly directly from Singapore to San Francisco. Its maximum flight speed is Mach 0.925, slightly lower than the speed of sound. According to a press release issued by Gulfstream in May, the G700 flew at a cruising speed of Mach 0.90 from Georgia to Geneva, Switzerland, with a flight time of 7 hours and 37 minutes.

The most spacious cabin

According to Gulfstream, the ▲ entertainment suite, the G700 has the largest cabin of any business jet, with a length of 56 feet 11 inches, which allows it to have five living areas. The G700's virtual travel shows that its cabin is divided into different parts, including toilets, kitchens, front seats, entertainment suites and dining areas, as well as special class and en suite bathrooms.
