15:37 on October 31, the Mengtian Experimental Module, the third largest segment of the Chinese space station, was successfully launched from China's Wenchang Space launch site aboard the long March 5B Yao 4 carrier rocket and accurately entered the scheduled orbit. After the Mengtian experimental module was launched into orbit, it was successfully docked at the forward port of the sky and the core module at 04:27 on November 1. The third cabin combination flies in orbit in low-earth orbit in a partial T configuration.

Today, the Mengtian experimental module carried out the transposition smoothly. The Mengtian experimental module transposed 90 degrees from the front interface of the sky and the core module to the permanent berth, forming a T-shaped basic configuration of the third cabin with the space station.

During the transposition period, the Mengtian experimental module first completed the relevant state setting, and then separated from the space station assembly, and then completed the transposition in about an hour by plane transposition, and docked with the lateral port of the node module of the sky and core module again. This afternoon, the Shenzhou 14 astronauts will enter the Mengtian experimental module aboard the crew.

CTOnews.com learned that the completion of the transposition of the Mengtian experimental module marks the completion of the basic configuration of the Chinese space station "T" in orbit, which is a key step towards the goal of building a space station.
