CTOnews.com, November 2 (Xinhua)-- Pixelmator Pro, the image editing software, ushered in an update of version 3.1, adding support for Apple macOS 13 Ventura and AVIF file formats.

Pixelmator Pro is now fully compatible with macOS 13 Ventura, the latest upgrade to Apple's Mac operating system. Users can perform multitasking through pre-stage scheduling, switch between Pixelmator Pro windows or other applications, call up quick browsing previews of Pixelmator Pro files, and so on.

CTOnews.com was informed that Pixelmator Pro 3.1 has undertaken a comprehensive reform of file opening. Performance improvements allow users to preview and open Pixelmator Pro files faster than ever before.

The quick browse preview of Pixelmator Pro files can now be opened quickly in Spotlight and Finder, and users can edit large files even faster, such as simulation diagrams.

Another new feature is support for AVIF format. AVIF, the AV1 image file format, is the next generation image format, which aims to produce high-quality images for Web with small file size.

Apple has added support for AVIF files in macOS 13 Ventura's Safari browser, and Pixelmator Pro can now open and edit these images.

As corner radius editing improves, you can adjust the radius of a single shape corner. The company has also added smoother corner styles to create rounded rectangles, a shape that Apple has popularized in iOS app icons and hardware.

Pixelmator Pro is on sale at Mac App Store for $39.99. MacOS 11 Big Sur or later is required and fully optimized for Apple Silicon Mac.
