In the report, the research institute predicts that the global demand for DRAM on servers will reach 68.486 billion GB this year, and the DRAM for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets is expected to be 66.272 billion GB this year.

Foreign media reported that Google, Amazon and other companies currently operate more than 8000 data centers around the world, and analysts estimate that the servers in these data centers require more DRAM than the global demand for DRAM from 15 billion mobile devices.

The research institute also said in the report that the demand for DRAM for servers is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 24% by 2026, and relevant manufacturers will also benefit from it. Samsung Electronics, currently the world's largest storage manufacturer, and SK, the second-largest manufacturer, will also ensure their profits through server demand.
