CTOnews.com November 2 news, the global information agency SNE Research on November 1 released the global electric vehicle (BEV, PHEV, HEV) battery loading data from January to September 2022. Data show that from January to September 2022, the total number of batteries installed in electric vehicles worldwide reached 341.3 GWh, an increase of 75.2 per cent over the same period last year.

From January to September 2022, Ningde era and LG Energy Solution maintained the first and second positions, with BYD third, Panasonic fourth and SK-On fifth.

CTOnews.com learned that in September alone, the total number of batteries loaded in electric vehicles worldwide was 54.7 GWh, an increase of 61.2% year-on-year. Ningde era, a Chinese company, ranks first in the world in terms of 19.9GWh loading, accounting for 36.3%.

In August, BYD once overtook South Korea's LG New Energy to rank second in the world, but in September, LG New Energy returned to second place with 8.8GWh, while BYD retreated to third place with 7.3GWh.
