Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen Terrence for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com Nov 2: task Manager is one of the most commonly used applications in Microsoft's Windows system. It provides an integrated tool to manage system resources, including running processes, system files, and startup programs. In the Windows 11 version of 22H2 (updated in 2022), Microsoft introduced a newly designed task manager with a new look and feel built around Fluent Design.

In the latest version of Windows 11 Dev 25231, Microsoft quietly tested the search bar of the task manager, which was of great help to the search process.

In the current version of Windows, users can only click on the process of the task manager and enter letters to find the process, regardless of whether it is efficient or not, many people are blocked by the hidden nature of this feature.

As you can see from the following figure, the latest search bar will be displayed at the top of the task manager, the user can enter the process name, publisher, PID, etc., and the search results will be displayed in the original process list.

According to foreign media Windows Latest, this feature will be extended to Windows 11 22H2 in the coming weeks / months. According to sources familiar with Windows development, search bar integration does not guarantee full-featured (full-feature) updates and can be enabled through monthly updates.

CTOnews.com has learned that this feature can be enabled manually in Windows 11 Dev 25231, using tools as follows:

Download Vive Tool from the GitHub repository

Extract the Vive Tool file to a directory

Start the Windows terminal as an administrator and switch to the command prompt

Use the CD command to navigate to the folder of Vive Tool. For example, CD C:\ Vive

Enter vivetool / enable / id:39420424 and press enter

Restart the computer & Resource Manager

If you want to undo the changes, you can use the command vivetool / disable / id:39420424
