According to the official introduction, Meguiar achieved batch shipments of 1 α process in 2021, and now the latest 1 β process has consolidated Meguiar's leading position in the market. Officials say the latest process provides about 15 per cent energy efficiency gains and more than 35 per cent density gains, with each die capacity of 16Gb.

Meguiar said that with the introduction of LPDDR5X, mobile products will be the first to benefit from the improvement of 1 β DRAM, improving the performance of a new generation of smartphones while consuming less power.

CTOnews.com learned that Meguiar's plant in Hiroshima, Japan will mass-produce 1 β process DRAM.

Not long ago, Samsung Electronics also announced that its latest LPDDR5X DRAM has passed the verification at the fastest speed in the industry of 8.5Gbps and can be used on Snapdragon Mobile platform, which also surpasses the highest speed of Samsung's previous 7.5Gbps in March.
