According to reports, in terms of transmission efficiency, at present, the highest transmission rate of eDP single lane is 8.1Gbps, while the highest transmission rate of VBO single lane is only 2.97Gbps. At the same time, because eDP uses a micropacket structure, more data can be transmitted at the same time. In terms of space occupation, eDP can use fewer data line pairs to transmit more data, with the current mainstream display resolution, eDP interface only needs 4 pairs of high-speed differential signal lines, which can effectively save the number of wires and space costs, while better compatible with the needs of subsequent 8K resolution; in terms of security, eDP circuit is simple, and electromagnetic interference is small, and has a strong copyright protection function.

The eDP interface can support resolutions such as 3840, 2160, 5120, 2160, and can be covered to 8K in the future. Flat-panel processing chips such as RK3588, MT8195, Qualcomm WOS series (7C / 8C series) and Zhanrui T710 / T7150 can be selected.
