Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com, November 1, according to previous reports, after upgrading to Windows 11 22H2, the Ryzen 7000 series CPU based on Zen 4 architecture will decline in gaming performance.

However, according to Tom's Hardware, AMD today withdrew all reports of performance degradation of Ryzen 7000 using Windows 11:00. The reports come from independent and experienced testers who say the performance of the new Ryzen 7000 series processors is not ideal, especially when running on the new Windows 11 22H2 updates. AMD said it tested these claims and found no real problems, as the performance differences in Windows 11 and Windows 10 were basically within the typical margin of error.

AMD said:

We are aware of reports of unexpected performance differences when using AMD Ryzen ™desktop processors in some games, as well as performance differences between Windows 11 and Windows 10 in some games. We are currently investigating, but according to the tests so far, in various operating scenarios and game works, we have not observed any substantial differences in game performance between operating system versions.

In addition, AMD believes that the performance difference may have something to do with the optimization of the game itself, rather than a mess on the AMD side. AMD said:

Many factors affect game performance, including game engine, CPU architecture, GPU selection, and memory selection. As new architectures enter the market, we often observe performance anomalies that must be resolved by component vendors or game publishers. This is not a new phenomenon, nor is it an accident.

So in a nutshell, AMD believes that these problems are the reason why the game is not optimized for the new processor. CTOnews.com learned that previous reports from technicians indicated that disabling SMT was found to be more helpful if the above performance problems were encountered, especially when fewer CCD (CPU computing chips) were deployed.
