In response, famous writer Stephen King said that if the plan is really implemented, he will leave Twitter.

Later, Musk responded on his Twitter today: "We need to pay the bill in some way! Twitter can't rely entirely on advertisers. How about $8?"

He also said he would explain his reasons for doing so in a longer form before implementing it. Musk believes that this is the only way to defeat robots and sprinklers.
