Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

The title of the original text: "the fourth issue of PPT, why did my PPT shut down by myself?" "

Have you ever experienced that PPT shuts down automatically as soon as it is turned on? it makes you wonder whether the computer has been poisoned or remotely manipulated.

Have you ever been prompted to use a font when saving PPT, but you can't find it or delete it even if you want to delete it?

There is no option for vertical text in the computer? Serial or garbled after copying and pasting the text box? The color that filled the shape suddenly disappeared.

See here, do you feel a dull pain in your temple? it hurts, it hurts too much! Even can not help but want to roar: lonely headache splitting!

We specially integrate some PPT cold knowledge and maddening pain points to facilitate you to query and solve those problems that may be encountered in the past, present or future.

Next, let's go to the text. Although the knowledge is small, it is not recommended to skip it.

01. After the shape adds depth, the color of the fill is gone. Before I wrote a map-related tutorial, I shared how to get and use map material:

Party A: add a map of Sichuan to PPT on this page. You can find it yourself.

Often do PPT friends may have to deal with maps from time to time, to download a variety of vector map files.

Then there is a chance that you will encounter this situation: drag the vector map svg file of a place into PPT, convert it to shape and ungroup it, and fill it with color.

To make the map more attractive, you decide to add a 3D depth parameter to make it look more three-dimensional:

Unexpectedly, as soon as the depth was added, the color filled with the map disappeared.

After the actual test, you will find a magical phenomenon: as long as the lines are removed, the fill color will come back.

This means that the lines and depth of this figure cannot coexist, and to be honest, I still don't know why they can't co-exist.

Guess that the map svg file is drawn in AI or CDR, using some parameters or attributes that PPT does not support, resulting in the existence of this magical bug.

If you encounter this situation, there is no hurry, the solution is simple: draw another rectangle to cover the shape, the Boolean operation-intersect the two, and the new shape will not happen.

Or you can use the free shape feature in the small stubborn briefing to convert it to a free shape, and you can add strokes and depth normally:

This processing idea is applicable to many vector graphics bug, the effect is similar to restart, when you do not know what is going on, Boolean operation, may be solved.

02. Sometimes, Party A may send you some PPT files and ask you to integrate the contents and make a new PPT.

Then it is possible to have the following situation, such as the text box in the following picture, which looks completely normal when it is left untouched:

Once you zoom the font size, or drag the text box to adjust the line wrap, you find that there is something wrong with it:

When you copy, you will find that you cannot select all the text, and the pasted content is serial:

At this point, you may think of a way to deal with it: is it normal to paste as plain text?

It turned out to be this ghost after being pasted:

The emergence of this kind of problem is actually very troublesome, and it is not easy to solve.

High probability Party A sends you not the PPT source file you did before, but from the PDF conversion format, or by other demonstration software conversion format, so it will be newline or garbled only after copying and pasting.

This is more likely to happen, especially when the text in the original PDF file is in traditional Chinese or other languages.

As for the solution, you can only use the OCR tool to identify and paste page by page, and after identification, you need to check the content one by one to avoid typos and line breaks.

Of course, you can also try to re-convert it into a picture version of the PDF file, and then use the PDF identification and conversion tool to re-convert the PPT file, whether it can be an one-time success, I don't know.

With regard to text recognition and OCR tools, we have written related tutorials before, which you can look through if you are interested:

The mysterious trick to get rid of PPT words: look at the pictures and read.

03. Prompt to use a font, but can not find nor delete this is an extremely helpless phenomenon, upload PPT when the platform prompts you to use a font, but can not find where.

For example, a PPT file I open now is prompted to use Alibaba when uploading, but when I want to replace it with the replacement font function, I find that there is no such font at all:

Using the font statistics function of pocket animation, I couldn't find it either:

At this time, it is inevitable to wonder whether there is something wrong with the platform detection. I didn't use Alibaba Pratt at all.

In fact, this situation is indeed possible, and you inadvertently used this font.

For example, the template and theme you use may be downloaded from the Internet, and some special fonts are used in the default theme, which cannot be detected with alternative fonts or plug-ins.

In other cases, you may copy the icons or icons of some foreign templates with special fonts, but you think there is no text in it, so you can't find it.

When you encounter this problem, don't think about how to replace the font. the best solution is to locate the page or element that uses the font, delete the page or element and do it again.

The method of positioning is not difficult, first copy a PPT file, change the .pptx suffix to the .zip suffix, and extract:

Click on the ppt folder and find the slides folder inside, which is the xml file for each page:

When you open the folder, you can see that all the pages are inside:

Next is the coolie, you need to use notepad program to open these xml files one by one, and search for the corresponding font names.

For example, I found "Alibaba inclusive style" in slide12 and slide 23 files:

This means that the font is used on these two pages.

Then you just need to go back to PPT, delete pages 12 and 23, and remake these two pages. The problem is solved perfectly.

04. PPT does not have vertical text this option normally, we insert a text box in PPT, you can choose horizontal or vertical:

But there was a little cutie in the group who encountered a very magical phenomenon. Her PPT was only horizontal, but the vertical row was gone.

Even if the vertical text box function is added to the tab in the custom ribbon, it is grayed out and cannot be used at all.

At this point, I even began to wonder if her PowerPoint version was different from ours, and some features were restricted.

Then it occurred to me, is it because Chinese needs vertical arrangement, English is not needed at all, and she uses a non-Chinese language, so the function of vertical text is hidden?

It was verified remotely, and it was so!

At this point, the solution is simple: just click add language and select Chinese in the PowerPoint language option.

After the addition is completed, set Chinese as the preferred language, and the problem will be solved perfectly.

05. PPT files are closed automatically as soon as they are opened. In general, when you encounter this kind of situation, you will most likely suspect that there is something wrong with your software or computer, followed by a suspicion of being hit by some blackmail virus.

In fact, it's not that scary, a situation that PPT designers and enthusiasts may encounter, but hardly for ordinary users.

Because you are likely to import PPT files into Eagle at the same time, Eagle needs to generate a preview when importing PPT, which will constantly open and close PPT programs in the background, resulting in the PPT you want to open can not be edited and used normally.

It should be noted that in addition to Eagle, there are some other software or tools that may also cause this situation. Once this occurs, be sure to save the file and find the problem in time, and then wait for Eagle or other software to deal with it before opening PPT for use.

Because the PPT file you are currently editing will not be saved when these software closes PPT, editing the file on the way to import Eagle into PPT will most likely cause your PPT to be done in vain and cannot be recovered!

In addition, in addition to causing PPT to shut down automatically, Eagle may also cause another situation: the PPT file on your computer cannot be opened, indicating that it is locked.

This is because when you are doing PPT, you have opened the PPT file directly in Eagle, and if you close PPT at this time, it is likely to make the PowerPoint program enter a false closed state.

That is, the window of PowerPoint is gone, and you think the process is over, but in fact it is still running in the background.

To determine if this is happening in your PPT, it's also simple: just open a new PPT file and check the speed of opening it.

If new files are opened almost instantly, which is much faster than usual, the program is still running in the background, and it is possible to occupy and lock one of your PPT files.

When this false shutdown occurs, you just need to go to the task manager, kill the PowerPoint process inside, and then reopen the PPT file.

If you need to restart loading plug-ins when you open a new file, it is relatively slow to open, which means that the program is closed normally. At this time, as long as you open it normally.

With an extra extension here, sometimes we want to delete a PPT file but prompt that the file is occupied and cannot be deleted.

The probability is that either PowerPoint shuts down, runs in the background and occupies the PPT file, or the PPT file is occupied by the iSlide plug-in.

Again, you just need to end all PowerPoint and iSlide processes in the task manager.

Oh by the way, don't forget to save it before you finish the process!

At this point, all of today's five PPT problems have been introduced.

The above is all the content shared today. I hope it will give you some inspiration.
