CTOnews.com, Nov. 1, whenever Microsoft Games CEO Phil Spencer (Phil Spencer) is interviewed, there is a question that is sure to be asked: the fate of call of Duty on PlayStation. His answer has always been the same: Microsoft has no plans to remove the game from the PS platform after the $69 billion Activision deal.

In a recent podcast interview with YouTuber Justine and Jenna Ezarik, Spencer once again answered the question in a more direct way: "as long as PlayStation is there, call of Duty will continue to be available on the platform." Spencer also compared call of Duty to Minecraft, which Microsoft acquired in 2014. Spencer said the game is not limited to its platform, and so will call of Duty.

Spencer expressed a similar view during the Wall Street Journal technology conference last week, when he mentioned Microsoft's plan to introduce call of Duty to Nintendo Switch, demonstrating the company's commitment to keeping games available on all platforms, including competitors' platforms.

Before that, Spencer even tried to assure PlayStation director Jim Ryan in a written letter that call of Duty would remain on PlayStation for "several years" after Activision's existing agreement, but Ryan revealed that the agreement was only three years longer than the existing agreement.

Although Spencer's repeated statements are aimed at convincing regulators around the world that the acquisition will not hurt the market and Microsoft's competitors, Microsoft is still trying to win approval from different regulators around the world. including the US Federal Trade Commission, the European Commission and the UK Competition and Market Authority.
