Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu and OC_Formula for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, October 31 (Xinhua) it has been revealed that Samsung is developing a new wireless charging board, which may be available before and after the release of the Galaxy S23 early next year. The accessory model is EP-P9500, and the device is called SmartThings Station, and its name may reveal some interesting and unprecedented features.

Bluetooth certification shows that the device is called SmartThings Station, and interestingly, Samsung has previously obtained the same name through an application from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The "EP-P" section of the EP-P9500 model actually confirms that this is a wireless charging board. However, Samsung has never released a wireless charger with SmartThings, and the so-called SmartThings Station will be the first.

Neither the Bluetooth certificate nor the United States Patent and Trademark Office's application for SmartThings Station revealed much information about the device. But it is clear that it will have Bluetooth, which means the device will be able to provide more than just a simple wireless charging board for Galaxy smartphones and wearables.

Samsung has always preferred to make SmartThings the platform of choice for smart home devices. At SDC22, the company announced integration with Matter devices and better interoperability with Google Home. The wireless charger equipped with SmartThings coincides with the development of the company. Samsung has even added more SmartThings tools to the new model and general features of One UI 5.0.

The new device may allow users to monitor the charging status of their Galaxy devices through the SmartThings app. It is also possible for SmartThings users to remotely control the so-called SmartThings Station-- to turn the device on or off, or set other parameters.

CTOnews.com learned that Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S23 series of phones in the early to middle of the first quarter of 2023.
