Sina Technology News, Beijing time on the evening of October 31, it is reported that after the successful acquisition of Twitter, Elon Elon Musk will make the first round of layoffs in the next few days, and 25 per cent of Twitter employees are expected to be affected.

Over the weekend, members of Musk's inner circle gathered with the remaining Twitter executives to discuss in detail how Twitter's content was censored and the first round of 25% layoffs, according to these people familiar with the matter.

The discussion was led by Alex Spiro, Musk's lawyer. Spiro is currently actively managing several Twitter teams, including law, government relations, policy and marketing, according to people familiar with the matter.

In addition, Musk's longtime partners David sax (David Sacks) and Jason Carney (Jason Calcanis) have appeared on the Twitter roster. At present, both men have official emails on Twitter, and their titles are "senior software engineers". Musk is also on the list under the title CEO, although the position has not been publicly announced.

Meanwhile, the Spiro team is planning the first round of layoffs on Twitter. Twitter currently has more than 7000 employees and will cut about 25 per cent of its staff in the first round, according to one of the people familiar with the matter. The layoffs will involve almost all departments and are expected to have an impact on sales, product, engineering, legal, and trust and security teams in the coming days.

Apart from engineers, Twitter's highest-paid employees are concentrated in the sales department, some of whom earn more than $300000 a year, according to a document seen by the media.

It has been reported that layoffs are expected to begin by November 1 and that Twitter employees will receive additional compensation related to stocks. But Musk tweeted on Sunday: "the report that Twitter will cut jobs next week is false."

Earlier this year, Musk said he planned to cut about 75% of Twitter jobs. This means that the company will have only about 2000 employees left. But last week, Musk told employees during a visit to Twitter headquarters that 75 per cent of staff would not be laid off. The final total number of layoffs could be close to 50%, according to people familiar with the matter.

So far, Musk has fired four senior Twitter executives, including CEO Palag Agravar (Parag Agrawal), CFO Ned Ned Segal (Ned Segal), and Vijaya Vijaya Gadde, director of legal affairs and policy.
