CTOnews.com, October 31, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in the first three quarters, the overall production of China's electronic information manufacturing industry was stable, exports maintained growth, enterprise efficiency continued to recover, and investment growth accelerated.

Production picked up faster in January and September

In the first three quarters, the added value of the national electronic information manufacturing industry grew by 9.5% compared with the same period last year, exceeding the growth rate of industrial and high-tech manufacturing by 5.6 and 1.0 percentage points, respectively. In September, the added value of the above-scale electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 10.6% over the same period last year, up 5.1 percentage points from August.

CTOnews.com learned that in the first three quarters, the production of mobile phones was 1.15 billion of the main products, down 3.5% from the same period last year and 1 percentage point lower than the decline in January-August. Of this total, the output of smartphones was 874 million, down 3.2 percent from the same period last year; the output of microcomputer equipment was 316 million, down 7.9 percent from the same period last year; and the output of integrated circuits was 245 billion, down 10.8 percent from the same period last year.

II. Exports maintain growth

In the first three quarters, the export delivery value of the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 6.4% over the same period last year, up 0.2 percentage points from January to August. In September, the export delivery value of the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 7.8% over the same period last year, up 6.8% from August.

According to customs statistics, in the first three quarters, China exported 131 million notebook computers, down 18.9 percent from the same period last year; 617 million mobile phones, down 9.9 percent from the same period last year; and 209.7 billion integrated circuits, down 10 percent from the same period last year.

III. Sustained recovery of enterprise benefits

In the first three quarters, the operating income of the electronic information manufacturing industry reached 11.0363 trillion yuan, up 8 percent from the same period last year, up 0.4 percent from January to August; the operating cost was 9.6128 trillion yuan, up 9.2 percent from the same period last year; the total profit realized was 533.1 billion yuan, down 5.4 percent from the same period last year, 0.2 percentage points lower than the decline from January to August; and the profit margin of operating income was 4.8 percent, up 0.1 percent from January to August.

IV. the growth rate of investment is accelerated

In the first three quarters, fixed asset investment in the electronic information manufacturing industry grew by 19.9% compared with the same period last year, 8.8 percentage points higher than the growth rate of industrial investment in the same period, but 3.5 percentage points lower than that of high-tech manufacturing investment.
