In response, Gu Zhifeng, deputy director of the Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, replied that in early August this year, the Ministry of Transport, in conjunction with the State Energy Administration, the State Grid Corporation, and the Southern Power Grid Company, formulated and issued the "Action Plan for accelerating the Construction of charging Infrastructure along the Highway," deploying various localities to speed up the construction of charging infrastructure along the highway, focusing on expressways and ordinary provincial trunk highway service areas with conditions.

After the "Action Plan" was issued, the four departments immediately held a mobilization and deployment meeting to publicize and interpret the "Action Plan", further unify thinking, build consensus, define objectives, and improve measures. At the same time, our department has also issued the "Technical Guide to charging Infrastructure along the Highway" to guide all localities to carry out scientific and standardized charging infrastructure construction along the highway.

At present, Jiangxi, Henan, Hunan and other provincial transportation departments have combined with reality, together with the provincial energy bureau, power grid companies and other units, formulated and issued specific implementation plans to speed up the construction of charging infrastructure along the highway. According to statistics, 16721 charging piles have been built in 3974 expressway service areas across the country, including 872 new charging piles and 3347 charging piles, an increase of 28% and 25% respectively over that before the issuance of the Action Plan.
