Katherine Booth, the last of Britain's early computer pioneers, wrote the first assembly language at Berbeck College at the University of London and designed an assembler and automatic code for the first computer system, qubit reported. Later, Catherine turned to natural language processing and neural networks.

CTOnews.com learned that the original program was written in machine code (binary: 1ap0) and that the computer had to be rewired to program. In order to make it easier to understand, Catherine converted the above instructions into human-readable symbols and invented contract notation, which makes the whole process easier, which is called assembly language.
