Tesla Texas Super Factory is located in Austin, about a 15-minute drive from downtown Austin. Construction was determined in July 2020. Construction began soon after the location was determined. After nearly two years of construction, a grand opening ceremony was held on April 7 this year. It is planned to be used in the production of Model Y and electric pickup truck Cybertruck,Model Y models that start production first. It is also the only model produced and delivered by this super factory at present.

The Tesla Texas super factory, which opened only in April, has not been put into production for a long time and is still in the process of increasing its production capacity. According to Tesla's financial results released on October 19, the super factory already has the capacity to produce 250000 electric vehicles a year.

Tesla announced on social media on Sept. 17 that the Texas superfactory has produced 10000 Model Ys, doubling Model Y production in just 43 days from September 17 to October 30.
