CTOnews.com learned that Line 14, with a designed speed of 120km per hour and a length of 50.32km, is a north-south traffic corridor in the eastern part of Shenzhen, which can reach the city center in 30 minutes in Longgang and 40 minutes in Pingshan.

It is worth mentioning that Line 14 is the first super-long line in China to open a driverless subway, the whole line uses a prefabricated track structure, but also the longest one-time laying of prestressed track slabs in China.

According to reports, Shenzhen Metro has created a number of precedents in domestic subway construction. The total length of the double-line shield interval of Line 14 is 92.5 km, and the overall karst hole encounter rate of the tunnel is nearly 40%. 51 shields need to be invested at once, creating the longest shield interval, the largest investment of shield machines and the largest average station spacing in the fourth phase of the project. the difficulty of construction organization is rare in China.

In addition, Shenzhen Metro Line 12, Line 16 and Line 6 branch lines will also be opened this year, when the mileage of the new line in Shenzhen for the whole year will reach the longest 128 kilometers in years. Shenzhen will form an urban rail transit network pattern (including trams) with 17 lines and 559 km network length, which will further strengthen the main function of urban rail transit.
