Pavel Djundik said that one of the uses of this tool is to transfer games from PC to Steam Deck handsets, which reads games installed on disk and eliminates the decryption steps of downloading games.

In addition, the tool also seems to be more suitable for college dormitories. If college students are short of money to buy games, they can open a Steam family shared account and then transfer games to each other through the P2P tool LAN.

CTOnews.com has learned that some developers have found that Steam is already testing this feature. Users need to add the suffix "- dev" to the shortcut of the Steam beta client, and then set one device to "@ PeerContentClientMode" and the other to "@ PeerContentServerMode" to transfer, but this feature is not stable yet.
