CTOnews.com, Oct. 29 (Xinhua)-- Elon Musk took Twitter private for $44 billion (about 317.68 billion yuan) on Thursday night local time. After taking over Twitter, Musk quickly fired four executives, including the chief executive, the chief financial officer, the general counsel and the head of legal policy, trust and security.

According to Forbes and other media reports, Musk appeared in the headquarters building without any prior communication on his first day in charge of Twitter. All the employees looked alarmed, and the plenary meeting originally scheduled for the afternoon was suddenly cancelled. Everyone can only rely on external media reports to know what he is doing, while others directly say "scared." For fear that he will be "the next person to be fired" (75% of layoffs were previously rumored).

But in fact, Musk only purged four executives on the first morning of taking over Twitter, and then tweeted "this little bluebird is finally liberated" and received millions of likes. Of course, there are also some anonymous sprinklers making hate speech.

On Friday morning, however, some engineers said they had received notice from Musk's middleman that he wanted to see the latest software code they had written, which he wanted them to print out and show him.

There are also reports that Musk sent Tesla's engineers to review Twitter code the same day he bought Twitter, Bloomberg reported. Twitter engineers will no longer be able to modify the code from noon to ensure that the product does not change until Musk's acquisition is fully confirmed.

Some engineers were told to print the code written in the past 30 to 60 days, while others said Musk would have an one-on-one discussion with them and might check their code on the spot. But at noon, the engineer was told to "stop printing the code immediately". What has been printed should be put into the shredder, as long as the code is ready on the computer.

CTOnews.com learned that in April, Musk offered to buy Twitter for $54.20 a share. On October 28, Musk completed the deal to privatize Twitter for $44 billion (about 317.68 billion yuan).
