In French, the title reads "call of Duty Series is the best-selling series on PlayStation", while the English title on one side normally reads Xbox, which seems to be a typographical error, which some netizens think is due to the censors' inability to understand French.

Of course, Sony's PS version of "call of Duty 19: modern Warfare 2" also says "call of Duty" is "the best-selling IP in PlayStation history."

In response, Sony officials said the figure was based on full sales records as of April 2022, when 25 million copies were sold in one year, helping it reach an all-time high in fiscal 2020. It may also be another example of Sony preventing Microsoft from buying Activision Blizzard to regulators.

With the steady progress of Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Sony has been expressing some concerns about the deal.
