EVE-NG installation

There are two ways to install EVE-NG

1. Install through iso image file

2. Install through ova template file

This time, it is installed by using ova template.

The installation process is as follows:

1. Import template files

Open VMware Workstation

Select the ova template file location for EVE-NG

Then import, do not boot after import, because the parameter settings of the template may not be suitable for your computer, so select "Edit Virtual Machine Settings"

Be sure to select the two parameters for virtualization in the "hardware"-> "processor" option, otherwise there will be a problem importing the image file later.

Memory is given to 6 GB or more (my computer has 8 GB of memory, which can be reduced appropriately if there is not enough memory)

The mode of the network adapter can be chosen by yourself. (bridging mode is equivalent to treating the ENE-NG virtual machine as a physical machine, which can also be accessed by others; NAT mode can only connect itself and no one else can.)

2.EVE-NG parameter settin

When the virtual machine is booted for the first time, it cannot be started in most cases, so it should be forcibly shut down and then turned on.

The boot is slow because there are no configuration parameters.

Log in to eve with the root password after booting the system

Configure system parameters

Enter the password (it is recommended not to fix this, otherwise many of the later configurations will have to be manually modified before they can be used normally. )

The network can be configured on its own as needed: (since my environment does not have a DHCP server, I use a static ip address)

The network I use is China Telecom's network, so I use Telecom's DNS server.

Other parameters can be used by default.

Log in to the browser using 172.16.80.45

User name: admin

Secret code: eve
