CTOnews.com, Oct. 29, according to the Wall Street Journal, Airbus plans to increase production next year despite continued disruption to its supply chain. Currently, Airbus has expanded its lead over rival Boeing in the key market for small jets.

On Friday, local time, Airbus confirmed that it plans to increase production of A320 aircraft to 65 per month by early 2024, from about 50 at the end of the year, one of the fastest increases in its history.

Us media pointed out that the move was due to the fact that the demand for the Airbus A320 narrow-body aircraft series exceeded that of the Boeing 737 MAX, and both aircraft manufacturers were trying to solve ongoing supply chain problems.

Despite supplier delays, Airbus stuck to its target of delivering 700 commercial aircraft this year. CTOnews.com learned that Airbus had delivered 437 aircraft to customers by the end of September and needed to deliver 263 in the last three months of this year.
