CTOnews.com, Oct. 29 (Reuters)-on Friday, local time, the independent oversight committee of Facebook parent company Meta Platform said it would "welcome the opportunity" to discuss the content review plan with Twitter in more detail.

The Oversight Committee noted that independent monitoring of content reviews played a vital role in building trust in the platform and ensuring that users were treated fairly.

CTOnews.com learned that in April, Musk offered to buy Twitter for $54.20 a share.

On October 28, Musk completed the deal to privatize Twitter for $44 billion (about 317.68 billion yuan). On the same day, Mr Musk said the company would set up a content review committee with a "wide range of perspectives". However, Musk later said, "We have not made any changes to Twitter's content censorship policy."
