About 96 per cent of the nearly $55 million compensation package is performance-based, compared with 71 per cent in 2021. It is worth noting that the median salary of Microsoft employees in fiscal 2022 was $190302 (about 1.38 million yuan). In fiscal year 2022, the ratio of Nadella's annual total compensation to the median employee salary was 289 to 1.

In the year to June 30, 2022, Microsoft's revenue grew 18% to $198.3 billion, of which revenue from the cloud computing division grew 32% to $91.2 billion. Operating profit rose 19% to $83.4 billion, while net profit also rose 19% to $72.7 billion.

When Nadella took over CEO, Microsoft had revenue of $86.8 billion, net profit of $22.1 billion, and earnings per share of $2.63. As of press time, Microsoft earned $9.65 per share.

Microsoft shareholders want to ensure that Nadella stays in office and have high confidence in his leadership.

CTOnews.com has learned that Microsoft's growth has slowed in the past year, and Microsoft's share price has fallen 32% in the past 12 months.
