Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Sharpening can improve the clarity of the photo and increase the detail of the photo. Especially for the unclear photos caused by the early shooting mistakes, sharpening is an indispensable remedial measure. Because the photos in RAW format are not pre-sharpened in the camera, the definition is often not as high as the straight-out jpg, so sharpening is also needed to further explore the potential of the photos.
Today, I would like to introduce a more advanced sharpening method, which uses Lab mode to sharpen in Photoshop. Compared with any other sharpening method, Lab sharpening can protect the original color and only affect the sharpness.
If you sharpen in RGB mode, the red, green, and blue channels will all be affected. In Lab mode, there are lightness channel and color channel, which are independent of each other. If we only sharpen the lightness channel, it will not affect the color channel.
Lab pattern sharpening method 1. First of all, open the original picture of the photo, select the image-mode-Lab mode, and then the photo becomes the Lab color mode.
two。 We open the channels panel, select the lightness channel (L), and then do the normal sharpening operation. I am generally used to using filter-sharpen-USM sharpening, the threshold is 0, the radius is between 0.5 and 2, and the amount controls the intensity of this sharpening. I used a combination of 0,1.5 and 100% parameters for this photo.
When sharpening, you can open the small eye symbols in front of all the channels to restore the normal color of the photo and preview the sharpening effect in real time.
3. Next, restore the color mode of the photo and select the image-mode-RGB mode. If the sharpening mark is too heavy, it can also be balanced by adding noise, using the particle function in ACR or adding noise (monochrome) function in the filter to add a very small amount of randomly distributed noise.
Take a look at the comparison before and after sharpening.
