CTOnews.com October 28, Sega's classic mainframe copy of MD Mini 2 (Genesis Mini 2 in North America) was officially released in Japan and North America yesterday, with 60 classic games launched on MD and MDCD since 1988 and priced at $103.80.

MD Mini 2 contains 60 classic games, including Devi & Pii, Dream Zone, Space Harry 2 (+ Space Harry), Spatter, Star Mobile, Super Steam Locomotive, VS poof, whirlwind, Tomahawk 2, Midnight Trap, Iron fist 3 of Wrath and so on.

CTOnews.com learned that Mega Drive (commonly known as MD in Hong Kong and Sega Genesis in US) is a 16-bit home game console launched by Sega in 1988 and has sold a total of 30.75 million units worldwide. In 1993, Sega launched a lighter second version called Mega Drive 2 in Japan, Asia, Europe and Australia and Genesis in North America.
