CTOnews.com, Oct. 28, Microsoft recently began staggering two separate previews of Windows 11 for Windows Insiders on Beta. Today, Microsoft released new 22621.875 and 22623.875 version updates (KB5018486) on the channel, in which Build 22623.875 version will turn on new features by default, and Build 22621.875 will turn off new features by default.

Like Microsoft's Win11 preview version 25231 on the development channel today, Build 22623.875 doesn't have much new content, but everyone can use the taskbar optimized for touch.

Here are the changes and improvements in Build 22623.875:

Tablet optimized taskbar

The tablet optimization taskbar, launched since Build 22623.730, is now available to all Windows Insiders in the Beta channel. System tray improvements that have been introduced since Build 22623.746 include drag-and-drop capabilities are still in the works, so not all Windows Insider in Beta channels are available immediately.

Task bar

When you right-click the taskbar, the changes that add the task manager to the context menu are now available to all Windows Insiders in the Beta channel.

Here are the bug fixes in Build 22623.875:

Task bar

You can now swipe up from the taskbar with a pen to expand the tablet-optimized taskbar.

System tray update

Note: these fixes for the system tray are still being released to Windows Insiders and have not yet been made available to everyone.

Displaying a hidden icon panel in the system tray no longer obscures the context menu that opens after it.

Here are the fixes for build 22621.875 and 22623.875:

New features! We have enhanced the backup experience when using a Microsoft account (MSA). Some devices may notice this enhanced visual processing. This was initially open to a small number of people and was more widely deployed in the months that followed.

We fixed a problem that may affect some types of secure Sockets layer (SSL) and Transport layer Security (TLS) connections. These connections may fail to shake hands. For developers, the affected connection may send multiple frames within a single input buffer, followed by a partial frame with a size less than 5 bytes. If the connection fails, your application will receive an error, "SEC_E_ILLEGAL_MESSAGE".

We stopped the beginning of daylight saving time in Jordan at the end of October 2022. Jordan's time zone will be permanently converted to the UTC+3 time zone.

We fixed a problem that affected the transparency of hierarchical windows. This happens when you are in HD remote Application Native Integration (RAIL) mode.

We are investigating reports that some of the audio reflected by Windows Insiders stopped working in the recent Beta channel version.

Tablet optimized taskbar

The taskbar sometimes flashes when switching between desktops and tablets.

When switching between desktops and tablets, the taskbar transition to the touch-optimized version takes longer than expected.

When you use the gesture in the lower right corner to view the Quick Settings, the taskbar sometimes stays in the expanded state rather than disbanding to the collapsed state.
