Beijing, October 28 (Xinhua) Musk's acquisition of Twitter is a foregone conclusion. After the acquisition, Twitter may be privatized by Musk and listed within 3-5 years. MKM Partners has said before that Musk may take Twitter public in 2026 after taking it private. Twitter will be removed from the S & P 500 and replaced by Arch Capital Group. According to the NYSE announcement, Twitter will be suspended on Friday as Musk is nearing completion of the acquisition.

Musk had earlier expressed the idea of delisting Twitter and re-listing it in the future. He wanted to turn Twitter into a super app. In order to acquire Twitter, Musk works with co-investors such as private equity firms, which like to privatize the company so that it can be restructured and go public after the restructuring is completed.

Nasdaq announced on Friday that trading in Twitter shares had been suspended and Twitter would be removed from the S & P 500 and replaced by Arch Capital Group.

Wedbush analysts believe that Musk's offer of $44 billion for Twitter is expensive, its fair value may be only $25 billion, and the acquisition is a headache for Musk, which he can't get rid of because of the intervention of the Delaware court. Twitter shares are currently trading at $53.70, with a market capitalization of about $41 billion. The lowest point in the past six months was on July 11, when the share price was $32.65.
