Beijing, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) Apple CEO Tim Cook (Tim Cook) said in an interview on Thursday that the iPhone 14 Pro series of phones has been in short supply.

Cook Apple reported record revenue for its fiscal fourth quarter on Thursday. However, iPhone's revenue for the quarter fell slightly short of market expectations. It should be noted that this quarter's iPhone revenue includes just over a week's sales of iPhone 14 and 14 Pro phones. Even so, Apple's iPhone revenue grew by nearly 10 per cent year-on-year and overall revenue grew by 8 per cent.

In an interview, Cook talked about the challenges the company faces, such as how to keep up with the market demand for the Phone 14 Pro series. "We are currently limited in the supply of iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, which has been the case since our first day of launch... so it is clear that we are fighting for supply and trying to get as much supply as possible to solve the demand problem."

In addition, Cook also said that another major factor affecting Apple's fourth-quarter results is the exchange rate. "the negative impact on foreign exchange this quarter is more than 600 basis points. so, the impact is huge. Without the adverse impact on the exchange rate, we could have achieved double-digit growth." He said.
