CTOnews.com October 27 news, Samsung in the third quarter of 2022 earnings conference call revealed that the Galaxy S22 series launched in the first half of the year maintained a steady sales momentum, revenue growth significantly year-on-year.

Samsung said revenue from the Galaxy S22 series was significantly higher than revenue from the Galaxy S21 series in the same period last year. That doesn't mean the Galaxy S22 series is selling more, though, and it could also be that people are buying more premium versions, including the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra, due to higher overall average purchase prices.

CTOnews.com learned that Samsung Galaxy S22 series switched to Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in more markets, and Samsung also improved its software update policy this year to provide up to four major Android OS updates for all its high-end phones and some mid-range phones, all of which may help boost Galaxy S22 series revenue.

Samsung Electronics 'third-quarter net profit was 9.14 trillion won (about 46.34 billion yuan), down 24% year-on-year; third-quarter sales were 76.78 trillion won (about 389.275 billion yuan), up 3.8% year-on-year.
