The "new aircraft" he refers to here is the C919 domestic large aircraft that has just been certified by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. He said that he warmly congratulated the C919 on its certification and was very glad that they had achieved such an important milestone. The scale of the entire aviation market is very large, and the addition of new aircraft is very beneficial to the whole industry.

CTOnews.com learned that the C919 is a large jet civil aircraft developed by China in accordance with international civil aviation regulations and with independent intellectual property rights, and the only two competitors in the international market are the Boeing 737 and the Airbus A320.

China's domestic large aircraft C919 was certified by the Civil Aviation Administration of China on September 29, 2022, which means that the aircraft can be delivered to airlines in China. Comac, its developer, has become the third civil aircraft supplier in the Chinese market after Boeing and Airbus, and the new aircraft will be delivered to China Eastern Airlines in December at a unit price of 650 million yuan.

Tang Rui also said that Boeing and Comac have always had a very good cooperative relationship, and Boeing and Comac have carried out the completion and delivery of related aircraft at the Boeing completion and delivery center in Zhoushan. In addition, the two sides have more extensive and in-depth cooperation, and it can even be said that Comac is a major supplier to Boeing.

Tang Rui said that the global aviation department will need 41170 new aircraft in the next 20 years, of which China accounts for about 1/5, or 8500 new aircraft. It is said that more than half of the new aircraft are used to meet the growing demand. Among them, single-aisle passenger aircraft accounted for 75%, regional jets accounted for 5%, wide-body airliners accounted for 18%, and freighters accounted for 2%. In addition, the global fleet has nearly doubled in size, with half of it being delivered to replace old aircraft.
