CTOnews.com, October 27 (Xinhua)-- trading in Twitter will be suspended on Friday, local time, as the world's richest man, Elon Musk, faces a court deadline to complete his $44 billion acquisition of the social media platform on October 28, according to the website of the New York Stock Exchange.

CTOnews.com learned that Musk visited Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco on Wednesday and was updating his Twitter profile to "Chief Twit", implying that he was already the boss of the company. In a new video released by Musk, he enters the Twitter building with a sink, with the caption: "entering the Twitter headquarters building. It's time to think about it (let that sink in)." Equity investors, including Sequoia Capital, Binance and the Qatar Investment Authority, have received the necessary documents for financing commitments from Musk's lawyers, Reuters reported on Tuesday. It means Musk will comply with the Delaware judge's order to complete the deal by Friday.

The completion of the deal will mark the end of Twitter's lawsuit, which, together with investors, is now expected to close on the original terms of $54.20 a share. Twitter shares closed Wednesday at $53.35 on the New York Stock Exchange, slightly below Musk's purchase price.
